Backpacking in Steamboat Day 2 - September 2, 2015
I back tracked the 2.6 miles on Mica Basin Trail to Gilpin Lake Trail, where I hiked 4 miles up through Circle Pass, then another 1.3 miles to the Wyoming Trail. Another 1.5 miles or so, then I setup camp above 10,000'. I was completely exhausted, but it was a pretty incredible day. I literally almost ran into a bear. It was at most 10' away from me when we startled each other and it ran across a fallen tree bridging the stream.
