Backpacking in Steamboat Day 2 - July 20, 2010
My second day of hiking I covered the greatest distance, eliminating the remaining 3 miles of the Mountain View Trail, 2.1 miles of Fish Creek Falls Trail (1102) as it passes Long Lake, and about 9.6 miles on the Wyoming Trail (1101). This took me into the Mount Zirkel Wilderness, where I set up camp in a sheltered clearing relatively high up and was rewarded with a pretty loud and interesting thunderstorm. Thankfully it didn't last very long.
