Steamboat Trip Day 5 - May 22, 2018
After spending the night in a camp site at Pearl Lake, I headed out on a loop trail. I don't recall the exact trail I hiked - it may have been 1176 - but, I made good time and then at some point ended up taking the wrong fork. I ended up on the opposite side of a ridge line. Having spent most of the day hiking, I was tired, and not really inclined to hike back up the fairly significant elevation change. Thankfully I popped out by a ranch. I talked to one of the ranch hands, and he offered to drive me back over to my motorcycle. Thank you!!!
I hung out around town for the rest of the day. After my adventurous experience on the way out, I was pretty exhausted and done. I decided to head back home the following day. The ride back was, thankfully, uneventful.
